Aline Amike is a Rwandan artist whose work moves between design, fashion, film and writing. Growing up in Kigali, she developed an early fascination with storytelling; through words, images and things people make and wear.

Whether designing a collection, making a film or writing, her work is led by the same curiosity: an exploration of identity, memory and the quiet narratives of everyday life.

Fashion was her first form of expression. Long before filmmaking, Aline was sewing and making pieces for herself, using clothing to shape her own world and communicate who she wanted to be. This instinct eventually became AMIKE STUDIO, where her personal practice has grown into a collaborative one, bringing her designs together with the handwork of artisans across Rwanda.

Alongside AMIKE STUDIO, Aline continues to work across film and writing. While the forms change, the impulse remains the same: to make tangible what might otherwise pass, disappear or be forgotten.
